Investment Analyst/Associate - Liquid Venture

Florin Digital is a digital asset investment platform. Our founders were investors and operators at some of the largest financial and technology companies on the planet. We believe public blockchains have the potential to become the go-to settlement layer for global commerce. Blockchains will become the internet’s native financial layer, and contrary to the web as we know it today, we now have the ability to directly invest in and monetize the protocols underpinning this new architecture for the internet. In so doing, the creation of digital assets and their programmable nature opens up a new design space which allows us to combine the characteristics of multiple asset classes into one, creating a new investment paradigm with a superior risk/reward.

The Role (Investment Analyst/Associate – Liquid Venture)
The ideal candidate will be expected to participate in the following activities on a day-to-day basis:
• Work closely with the fund manager to research digital asset markets and ecosystems in order to identify and develop investment strategies
• Assist the fund manager in setting the fund’s thematic focus and deployment strategy
• Source early-stage investment opportunities by building relationships with key founders, operators and investors in the space
• Perform financial modelling, data analysis, visualization, econometric studies producing independent research and insights across the wider DeFi ecosystem
• Produce in-depth research papers, quarterly reports, fact sheets, articles, and daily commentary on the digital asset space
• Take a data-driven approach to help the team explore and prioritize new opportunities
• Compile ordered research notes for internal education and external publication.

The Ideal Candidate
• A background with a mixture of finance, data- and/or computer science, interested in both the high level aims and technical detail of digital assets
• Highly curious, comfortable with uncertainty, able to learn fast, and excited to explore a rapidly developing industry
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, Master’s and PhD are highly welcome
• Have 3+ years of experience in investment management, crypto research or financial services, ideally as an analyst/associate, strategist, or specialist
• Passionate about crypto, with curiosity to deep dive into its technology and industry
• Act as a key hire to lead the firm's overall research efforts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with founders, investors and team members.
